Message by Prime Minister George A. Papandreou to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the attack on his security escort:
I was appalled to receive news of the attack on your security escort in the Kastamonu province. I am convinced that such an outrageous act of violence, which claimed a life and caused injuries, cannot impede the course of Turkey towards progress and prosperity.
On behalf of the Greek government and myself, I would like to express my personal support to you and to kindly ask you to convey our deepest sympathy to the family of the killed and to the injured. I hope that the perpetrators of this act will soon be brought to justice.
